Current Projects with Burgard:

Dissertation committee member. Trevor’s current dissertation work investigates the ways in which local public health officials in the state of Michigan handle “health threat to others” cases, which involve known HIV-positive people who are suspected of having sex without first disclosing their HIV-status. Non-disclosure is a felony in Michigan, but not every case is referred for prosecution. This project explores how health officials respond to these cases throughout the state.
